When having children at a young age, and not being able to accomplish the things that you strive for in the future. I became a single mom at 17 and married when I turned 22. my own hope tangerines replaced on the back burner, especially being told that as not only a woman, a wife and a mother that I need to put my ex-husband‘s dreams and desires before my own. I learned in my late 30s that I was worth everything and I could accomplish anything. Now at 47 I started my own business. I’m putting my youngest to college as my older children are helping financially with their sibling. I don’t want my children going through the struggles I did and I don’t want them to have to wait till they’re in their 40s to be happy. We should inspire our children to do better than we have and our parents before us. Not only stopping the chain of events that continue to happen, each generation, but this also shows that our children can do better than we did. As a mother, I’m stopping the chain of events from unfolding.
